Grassroots Community Organizing applications are now open!

Our core course connects diverse students from across the Five Colleges with meaningful organizing training, vital power-shifting projects, and diverse mentorship in the challenging work of supporting grassroots social change that is led by those directly affected by injustice.

UACT is deepening our partnerships with community organizers around the Northeast -- and potentially building a couple new partnerships! -- to make GCO amazing this year.

Undergraduate and graduate students from many disciplines work hard in this 5-credit UMass Anthropology class. Together, we develop the internal relationships, community orientation, and background knowledge necessary to go into these community organizing partnerships with openness and integrity.
